East West Presents at PDMA Bagels and Brains
East West was very excited to participate in the Georgia chapter of PDMA’s Bagels and Brains event. The featured topic was “Production: The Last Mile” and invited experts on both domestic and offshore manufacturing fronts to help demystify the prototype/short-run and offshore manufacturing process/transition. Tim Smock of Seaway Plastics Engineering presented the domestic manufacturing and prototyping point of view while East West’s very own Jeff Sweeney spoke about the hurdles companies and their engineers face when taking production offshore and gave expert advice on the offshore supplier’s perspective as well as common mistakes and pitfalls to avoid.
